Three Composers, a Festive Start to the Nürnberg Concert Season

With the concert “Rott – Elgar – Wagner”, the Philharmonic Series of the Staatstheater Nürnberg opens its season 2026/27. On October 23, 2026, works by Hans Rott, Edward Elgar, and Richard Wagner will resonate in the Meistersingerhalle Nürnberg.

Three Composers, One Concert Evening

The program combines three different musical perspectives. Hans Rott, Edward Elgar, and Richard Wagner each represent an independent sound language and a special significance within music history. This results in a concert evening that brings together various traditions and forms of symphonic music.

As the 1st Philharmonic Concert of the Season, the event marks the kickoff of the concert series. The audience in Nürnberg can expect a classical program that places the works of three composers into a shared musical framework. Further details regarding individual works, participants, or artistic direction are not included in the present event information.
