Festive Kickoff at the Main Square: Nuremberg's Christkindlesmarkt 2026

The Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt 2026 begins on November 27, 2026 with the festive prologue. The kickoff is announced for 5:30 PM and marks the official start of the market at the main square in Nuremberg's old town. Until December 24, the event invites visitors to enjoy the Christkindlesmarkt in a central location.

The main square is the venue for the Nuremberg Christkindlesmarkt. This is complemented by the Children's Christmas and the Market of Partner Cities. Thus, the event includes not only the central market area but also additional areas related to the Christkindlesmarkt.

Market Areas

• Main Square: central venue in Nuremberg's old town
• Children's Christmas: additional area of the Christkindlesmarkt
